Artifical intelligence will shape the future of digital media. It’s still relatively early, but today you can create full-feature videos with powerful AI tools. Here’s a workflow for making a short sci-fi film:

Using Midjourney, I created a series of images. Using the same “style reference” — a way to ensure visual consistency — you can generate continuous storyboards. After upscaling, I’d then feed into Kling AI (Runway is another good option) to bring the images to life.

It takes a lot of experimenting — but it’s possible to get fairly high quality results in record time (compared to traditional tools). Given how new this technology is, it’s easy to imagine how amazing it will be in the near-future. You can then use tools like Suno AI to generate accompanying music, or Eleven Labs to generate professional voiceovers.
