Psychedelic Heretics, Supernatural Entities, and Secret Societies

The Discordian cult of psychedelic heretics such as Tim Leary and Robert Anton Wilson had a strange offshoot via renowned director Alejandro Jodorowsky. John Lennon, along with his wife and manager, financed an exceptionally psychedelic and occult Jodorowsky film called The Holy Mountain. Wikipedia summarizes the strange ending:
“The rest confront the cloaked immortals, who are shown to be only faceless dummies. The alchemist then breaks the fourth wall with the command Zoom back, camera! and reveals the film apparatus (cameras, microphones, lights, and crew) just outside the frame. He instructs everyone, including the audience of the film, to leave the holy mountain: Goodbye Holy Mountain, Real life awaits us.”
However, Jodorowsky’s most famous endeavor was a failed 1965 production of Frank Herbert’s sci-fi novel Dune.
